Biography
Heidi Adair is a vibrant and versatile soprano, with an incredible range. Her years of stage experience and ringing vocal technique light up the stage. She spends her time in St Anton Austria, Utah, and various locations in Europe, where she has delighted American, French, Italian, Austrian, and German audiences.
She has worked with the Utah Symphony & Opera Company, the Lyric Opera Ensemble of the University of Utah, the Utah Light Opera, the Bay Area Summer Opera Theater Institute BASOTI (California), the Opéra du Périgord (France), La Musica Lirica (Italy), Oper im Park (Austria), as well as in concerts and recitals in the U.S. and Europe. She has also participated in several workshops throughout Germany.
Beginning her career with roles such as Cherubino, Stephano, and Frasquita in California and Utah, Ms Adair has found her fach with Elettra, Konstanze, and the Queen of the Night, although she still plays a saucy Musetta. In Utah, while covering for the Queen of the Night, she brought life to the role of the First Lady in Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte."
She has performed in California, Utah, Texas, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Some of her roles include: Konstanze in "Die Entführung aus dem Serail," Lucia in "Lucia di Lammermoor," Gretel in "Hansel and Gretel," and Fiordiligi in "Così fan tutte."
Praise for her roles goes beyond the brilliant, ringing tones of her voice, to include a dramatic and all-encompassing presence on any stage.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and a Master of Music degree from the University of Utah. Ms Adair has studied with Cornelia Prestel (Salzburg), Neil Semer (New York), Roberta Cunningham (Berlin), Julie Wright-Costa (Utah), and Betty-Jeanne Chipman (Utah).
